Ever wondered what it would be like to perform in a hit comedy series in front of a live studio audience? Come learn how to audition and perform for one of tv’s most famous formats - the Multicam sitcom! Similar to live theatre, this heightened and theatrical style of acting is seen on most major networks - NBC, CBS, ABC, Disney Channel, Nickelodeon…and is an integral part of modern television. In this camp we will cover:

  • The History of Multicam Sitcoms in Television
  • How a Multicam set differs from a single cam / film set
  • How to audition and understand tone for sitcoms on different networks
  • The technical approach to a Multicam script + blocking on a stage
  • How to perform on a stage with multiple cameras in front of a live studio audience

Over the course of a week, the actors will learn an original scene and perform in front of a live audience a Taped Episode of a Multicam Show- with feedback from a sitcom Casting Director (tbd).
